Six Months Certificate Course in Greek Language, Literature and Culture Studies

(Offline/Online/Hybrid Mode)

It is an extensive course in Modern Greek Language, Literature and Culture. It not only introduces course participants to day-to-day language of modern Greece but also to the Literary History and elements of the Greek Culture.

Course details are as under:

Class Hours: 3 Sessions of an hour each / per week.

Level: A1+ A2

Objectives:    

1. To be able to understand frequently used phrases and expressions related to areas of immediate personal relevance.
2. To be able to read short simple texts and to find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material, such as advertisements, prospectuses, menus and timetables.
3. To be able to listen and understand basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment etc. and to catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.
4. To be able to write a simple text on a subject which is familiar or which is of personal interest.
5. To be able to write personal letters describing experiences and impressions.
6. To be able to communicate in simple routine tasks requiring a simple exchange of information on familiar topics.
7. To be able to converse to a limited extent.
8. To have knowledge of History of Greek Literature.
9. To know more about main elements of Greek Culture and Civilization.
10. To be well acquainted with the Spirit of Hellas.
