About
Indo-Hellenic Research Centre (IHRC) is a public benefit educational, research and training institution registered with Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 which aims to be a nodal institution for higher studies primarily in the field of Greek and Indo-Hellenic Studies, Classics, Historical, Cultural and Civilizational Studies in the South Asian region of the globe.
Indo-Hellenic Research Centre envisions to create, promote and disseminate new knowledge through extensive and rigorous comparative studies of all the available Indian and Greco-Roman texts and archaeological material, to collaborate and cooperate with organizations and institutions of similar mission and objectives and to facilitate scholarship, teacher’s training and development in the Indian subcontinent.
To provide a platform to scholars engaged in research and teaching and to discuss and deliver their ideas to the academic world in such a manner that may further ignite the young minds and forward the Greek tradition of cooperative argumentative dialogue (Socratic method) and Indian tradition of Shashtrarth (Intellectual debate).
